Hanisa Shikur is the president of Zema Bier Ethiopia women’s writers association since 2014. She earned her master’s degree in English literature and BA degree in foreign language and literature from Addis Ababa University.   Hanisa worked as Program Producer in Global Sound Fm 97.1 and she has served as a Trainer in Vision Ethiopian Congress for Democracy (VECOD).
