Books nominated for the 2018 HOHE fiction awards category will be announced on February 16, 2018. A total of 10 shortlists finalists will be released May 16, 2018 and the finalist 5 books will be announced the first week of June 2018, and the winner will be announced at the HOHE Awards Ceremony on around July 2018.
Popular fiction, literary fiction, graphic novels, crime and thrillers may all be submitted in this category.
The following eligibility criteria must be met;
- Books for consideration must have been written by an Ethiopian authors
- HOHE Award 2018 will accept books written in Amharic
- The selection will be made from books first published in Amharic language and first published in Ethiopia between 11 September 2016 and 10 September 2017. Books previously published elsewhere first will not be eligible.
