HOHE Children’s Books: books written for targeting readers of children aged between 4-12.

HOHE fiction Award: to an author of a distinguished book of general fiction possessing notable literary merit and critical perspective and illuminating important contemporary issues.

HOHE Poetry Award: intended for a collection of new work by a single author.

Shortlist for the five HOHE Award will be announced in early July 2017. In fact, meeting the schedule is determined by the screening and review process handled by judges and later the wider literary family. The aim of the award is to put the spotlight on the creativity and diverse wealth of Ethiopia’s contemporary literature in the field of fiction, non-fiction to promote the circulation of literature within the country and encourage greater interest in literary works. In this way we will try to promote for more literary works to be developed that will serve as supplementary material for children.
